This is not a bug, though it occurs frequently.

The recent Lenovo Models (x series in particular) have a Wifi-Kill
Switch on the bottom of the machine (think under the right side of the
left wrist).

If the switch is set to OFF, then this will be the error given during
boot. The switch must be set to ON (green plastic underneath switch will
appear) and this problem should be fixed.
