I'm using ubuntu mate on virtual box on os x as host machine. I don't know whether this related to trackpad or not. When I use external wired mouse text selection works fine. I really don't understand why this happening. I tried other desktop environment like gnome budgie and it works fine. But I gnome classic so I want to fix this issue on mate.
