I too am having the very same problem, and didn't know that trying to play a DVD which he says doesn't work which doesn't in my exact case and then playing an audio CD will then work. I am going to try it right now and say if it works here: Wow it worked!, however now I am wondering if after exact an audio CD if it will sound alright, but even if it plays back fine right now it doesn't mean that it will later after I shut down my computer and start my computer back up which I will test and recomment in a while. It plays fine even with CD-RW CDs if I have it copied on my drive, but now am going to shut down and start up and recomment about whether then it will work.
