Public bug reported: Ubuntu 18.04.1
USB 3.0 port Sandisk 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive formatted to exfat (for compatibility with other devices) Transferring a large file (40gb), it begins to transfer but crashes about 30 seconds later with an input/output error, crash is reproducible. Same thing happened on Ubuntu 16.04.5 (with the same hardware). The USB drive transfers a large file fine in Windows 10. The crash only happens when connected to the USB 3.0 port. The transfers go fine on a USB 2.0 port on the same machine (though much slower obviously). ** Affects: exfat-utils (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1798349 Title: Large file transfer with exfat drive on USB 3.0 crashing every time with i/o error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/exfat-utils/+bug/1798349/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
