One more thing about the bubblewrap. Now that gnome-desktop3 (libgnome-desktop-3-17_3.30.1-1ubuntu1) is build against bubblewrap and depends on it, thumbnailer is working correctly on my system.
The new gnome-desktop3 has been changed: "debian/patches/disable-bubblewrap.patch, debian/control*: Drop changes to disable bubblewrap, now that it is approved to go into main."
