Sorry for delayed response. Thanks for your suggestion. As my self-answer of the linked question suggests, I've reinstalled libimlib2:amd64 and removed libimlib2-dev, and the missing libimlib2.so.1.4.10 in the package libimlib2:amd64 is finally found under /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/. This enables Conky to run. Given the reinstallation of libimlib2:amd64, I don't think running any dpkg command now can address to the problem about the installed package three months ago.
P.S. I was downloading from an unofficial mirror site. Now I've switched back to an official one. To avoid any red herring, I won't rubbish you with dpkg's output of the reinstalled libimlib2:amd64. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1779086 Title: broken symbolic link to libImlib2.so.1.4.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/imlib2/+bug/1779086/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
