Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tk8.4

I have test this in two applications: tkabber and aMSN. both failed to
input russian symbols from keyboard.

copy from some place and then paste into tkabber/aMSN of russian symbols
works just fine. The problem only with type in russian symbols from
keyboard.

Maybe some other languages affected. Latin symbols ('English') inputs
well.
