Yeah, it's permanent now. Maybe it's connected to the USB mode. I can imagine that in grub it would be a low protocol version (USB 1.0 or 2.0) and that it's set to USB 3.0 during the boot. At least in normal cables there would be more lines for USB 3.0 than for the lower variants, so maybe the internal connection is faulty on one of these "extra" lines. Rough speculation though.
The frustrating thing is that it works in MacOS. Self diagnostics does not find a thing. So I can't bring it to a Mac shop and have it fixed. Once I'll find the right screw drivers I'll try to open it an check the ribbon cables. I would not mind to force keyboard and touchpad to stay in low USB modes if that would fix it. No idea how to achieve that, though. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1776266 Title: Touchpad and keyboard of MacBook unresponsive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1776266/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
