Yeah, it's permanent now.

Maybe it's connected to the USB mode. I can imagine that in grub it
would be a low protocol version (USB 1.0 or 2.0) and that it's set to
USB 3.0 during the boot. At least in normal cables there would be more
lines for USB 3.0 than for the lower variants, so maybe the internal
connection is faulty on one of these "extra" lines. Rough speculation
though.

The frustrating thing is that it works in MacOS. Self diagnostics does
not find a thing. So I can't bring it to a Mac shop and have it fixed.

Once I'll find the right screw drivers I'll try to open it an check the
ribbon cables.

I would not mind to force keyboard and touchpad to stay in low USB modes
if that would fix it. No idea how to achieve that, though.
