This seems to be Xubuntu only : "Regarding the bug summary - 'common_desktop_menu()' doesn't exist in stock xfdesktop. This sounds like this is due to an Ubuntu-specific patch. Please ask the reporter to try to reproduce the bug with vanilla xfdesktop sources from xfce.org. If it's still there, reopen this bug."
