Hi Peter, I finally can suspend/resume with the Intel driver without any problems. I had luck to come across another bug 153329, where you have posted and are suggesting testing cases with '/etc/default/acpi-support', so what I did is just disabling everything relating to Video/PCI/VBERestore:
I disabled there here: # Should we save and restore state using the VESA BIOS Extensions? #SAVE_VBE_STATE=true # The file that we use to save the vbestate #VBESTATE=/var/lib/acpi-support/vbestate # Should we attempt to warm-boot the video hardware on resume? #POST_VIDEO=true # Save and restore video state? #SAVE_VIDEO_PCI_STATE=true and additionally: # Comment this out to disable screen locking on resume #LOCK_SCREEN=true The funny thing is, although through ACPI disabled, I still get the screen locked on resume, not that I am bothering about that, but it is still weird. I don't know, if those disabled options could have some effect to the power consumption when suspended, but I am set for now. :) ** Attachment added: "acpi-support_modified" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10268011/acpi-support -- [Gutsy Beta] Black screen when resume from Suspend to RAM https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150109 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
