*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1699772 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1699772
This is a known issue, see bug #1699772. It affects only 32-bits installations. A simple way of working around the issue would be to uninstall libreoffice-java-common. Or to simply run the following command in a terminal: sed -i '/enabled/c\<enabled xsi:nil="false">false<\/enabled>' ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/config/javasettings_Linux_*.xml Some functions of libreoffice won't work without Java (the most visible probably being libreoffice base), but most of the office suite should work just fine. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 1699772 linux-image-4.13.0-12-generic, linux-image-4.10.0-24-generic, linux-image-4.8.0-56-generic, linux-image-4.4.0-81-generic, linux-image-3.13.0-121-generic | Regression: many user-space apps crashing -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784173 Title: after upgrade to Xubuntu 18.04 Libreoffice crashes during starting To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1784173/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
