Public bug reported:
Most accessibility hardwares of this type function as input for GNU/Linux.
However, the vast majority of them require Windows to be configured. But,
PCsensor and Scythe devices are entirely usable with only GNU/Linux thanks to
the footswitch command-line utility:
https://github.com/rgerganov/footswitch.
It provides full function for single, double or triple control devices.
Read the current configuration, set control to key (optional modifiers),
string, mouse button (optional modifiers), mouse move (optional
modifiers), or append one of these to the current one.
Installation from source is about as simple as it gets. Only 9 files at
40,261 bytes plus readme and LICENSE (MIT). Requires libhidapi-dev. Just
"make" and "install". I'd add the package myself if it were clear how to
do so.
