Not sure if that is a bug in the Nautilus upstream source or the patches applied by the Ubuntu devs break the behaviour.
** Description changed: Steps to reproduce: --- 1. Run gsettings set org.gnome.nautilus.preferences recursive-search 'never' 2. Restart Nautilus 3. Search within Nautilus Current behavior --- Even after setting recursive-search to 'never' the search is still executed recursive. Expected behavior --- After setting recursive-search to 'never' the search should be not recursive anymore (only the current folder should be searched). Reproducible in: --- - Ubuntu 18.04 with Nautilus 1:3.26.3-0ubuntu4 + Ubuntu 18.04 with Nautilus 3.26.3-0ubuntu4 Releated upstream bugs: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/547 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/issues/520 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1783364 Title: Preference 'recursive-search' is ignored when set to 'never' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/1783364/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
