Public bug reported: tboot 1.9.6 fails to build with the current toolchain in bionic and cosmic:
[...] ld -melf_i386 -T /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tboot/common/tboot.lds /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tboot /.tboot.0 -o /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tboot/tboot ld: error in /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tboot/.tboot.0(.eh_frame); no .eh_frame_hdr table will be created. rm -f /<<PKGBUILDDIR>>/tboot/.tboot.0 [...] https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tboot/1.9.6-0ubuntu2/+build/14813147 This is an Ubuntu-specific package not present in Debian, and it's unclear to me that there is an Ubuntu maintainer. There is no newer upstream release available at <http://sourceforge.net/projects/tboot/>. If someone is interested in keeping tboot in Ubuntu, they should fix this build failure. If this remains unfixed, I will plan to remove the package from Ubuntu before the 18.10 release. ** Affects: tboot (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1780484 Title: tboot: fails to build with current toolchain To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tboot/+bug/1780484/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
