Public bug reported:

Trying to replace ubuntu16.04 with ubuntu 18.04 .
installing from an USB-stick.
On the SSD-disk there is also a DEBIAN8 installed already.
Grub was used on the previous installation.

Tried this several times with the same result.

Now I am considering to wipe the whole SSD and start all over again.
Pity because then also need to reinstall Debian.
