Public bug reported:
No driver is packaged with Ubuntu for the Syntek Camera series that are
integrated on several models of Asus laptops. A working driver is
available here http://syntekdriver.sourceforge.net/ and this driver
works well with the Ubuntu Ekiga softphone package.
My working configuration is on an Asus Z84FM with Syntek Camera device
ID 05e1:0501
This is a request to add the Syntek DC-1125 Camera driver to the base
Ubuntu installation or alternatively to host a package for the driver in
the mainline Ubuntu repository.
