Public bug reported:
After upgrading to 18.04 from 17.10, many but not all filenames suddenly
have apostrophes around the name when viewed in terminal from an ls
command in a directory. When using the gnome finder to view files, the
apostrophes do not appear. They look to be present around all filenames
that have spaces in the name.
