Hi, I have built a fixed version in ppa [1]. This works for me a dn I have not spotted any issues yet, but since you seem to be a more heavey user of this I wanted to ask if you could check from the ppa as well.
If it is good we can push that to 18.10 and afterwards consider an SRU for Xenial.
