Thanks for your quick reply, Daniel. Unfortunately, it has me confused! 
Both of my systems /are/ already running kernel 4.15, i.e.

brian@bacchus:~$ uname -a
Linux bacchus 4.15.0-22-lowlatency #24-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT Wed May 16 
17:09:05 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Am I missing your point? I'm happy to open a new bug, or even one for 
each machine if that helps. However, I don't want my new bug(s) to be 
immediately closed as a duplicate of 1769075.

Could you explain, please?
