The patch works for me too, but i can't hear any sound during the test. The sound system works properly on every other program. My hardware is: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) on a acer travelmate notebook
