Binary package hint: resilience-theme
This theme has been causing me problems for weeks and I didn't even know
it.
I started using this theme about the same time Gutsy went gold. Since
then FireFox has been crashing on me often, sometimes several times a
day. To make matters worse, OpenOffice.org Base started freezing up
whenever I tried to edit a table or start a new project.
I have been looking for problems in FireFox and Base and I couldn't find
anything useful.
Tonight I randomly changed my theme to Clearlooks. Base runs perfectly
and FireFox is running faster and hasn't crashed yet.
I am running Gutsy with the ATI-FGLRX (possibly the real problem)
driver. I am not using any desktop-effects. All of my packages come from
the default Ubuntu repos.
