Public bug reported: When I open more than my usual (3-4) text files, say 9+, mousepad freezes, hits 100% CPU usage as reported by the 'top' command, and starts taking up more and more memory - gigabytes if I don't notice it.
I can provide more details if others have the same issue and comment on this initial report, otherwise I don't know what's going on - I trusted mousepad until this started happening this week. I've already uninstalled it because of frustration but I can try it out later when I'm not in the middle of work. $ apt-cache policy mousepad mousepad: Installed: (none) Candidate: 0.4.0-3ubuntu1 Version table: 0.4.0-3ubuntu1 500 500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available.
