Unfortunately, when I ran cdromupdate again as part of the fix, it blew away the logs and I didn't think to copy them. I thought that the automatic bug report generated by the error would have included the logs. I don't know if I'll be able to reproduce the error again; I can try to install a virgin edgy on one of my test machines, upgrade to feisty, and try the upgrade to gutsy.
