Public bug reported:

I've been testing Lubuntu 18.04 and today I encountered a significant
issue.

I did a "something else" install on a machine with a separate /home
partition with 2 encrypted home directories on it.

I noticed at the install step when you specify your user name that it
didn't ask about encrypting the directory. Usually on a setup like
this, the option is there, but greyed out. It didn't exist at all here.

I proceeded with the install with no other issues.

At the reboot, I got into a login loop. Dropping to a terminal I could
see the encrypted home directory wasn't decrypted and mounted.

A bit of research showed that ecryptfs-utils hadn't been installed. I
installed it and rebooted, and all was well.

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
