Having this same problem on a UEFI system with the ESP set to FAT.

It's been five hours now, no matter what I try I can't get Ubuntu to
install. Tearing my hair out.

Keep seeing the

 /usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_components/nmwidgets.py:131: Warning:
Source ID 29357 was not found when attempting to remove it
  GLib.source_remove(self.rows_changed_id)
/usr/lib/ubiquity/ubiquity/frontend/gtk_components/nmwidgets.py:18: Warning:
Source ID 29725 was not found when attempting to remove it
  GLib.source_remove(self.timeout_id)

Messages over and over. Even if I don't choose a /home/ partition during
setup.
