Same problem here. HP510 laptop with Intel graphics (915 I think). Fresh install of Gutsy, all fine. Turned on Desktop Effects, everything graphicy (I think) worked fine. The next morning I found this issue. Turning off the sticky edges helps, and using ALT+right click+drag I can pull the window down a bit and the title bar is fine, just wedged under the top gnome panel. compiz --replace from an ALT+F2 seems to help until a reboot.
