Public bug reported:

using :
Logitech Keyboard K375s
Logitech Mouse M325

and using the Logitech Unifying dongle that came with the mouse. ID
046d:c52b

Ubuntu Version: 16.04.4 LTS - Kernel 4.4.0-116-generic #140-Ubuntu SMP

everything up to date, as of 2018.Feb.25

Software Version:
solaar:
 Installed: 0.9.2+dfsg-6
 Candidate: 0.9.2+dfsg-6
  Version table:
*** 0.9.2+dfsg-6 500

500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe amd64 Packages
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu xenial/universe i386 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

It's identical output for the package solaar-gnome3

What I expected:
When I click on the solaar gui I expected it to report what it found. It
reported three versions of my mouse, and three different unifying dongles, and
no keyboard. After I typed on the keyboard, it changed to recognize the
keyboard. But it still reported 3 dongles each with the same M325 mouse.
