I'm also having the exact same issue on my Toshiba M55; every 5 seconds or so, i hear a tick or a double tick, and my load cycle count is increasing about 2 per minute. Let me know if you guys need any logs or if you want me to try something, and I'll be happy to oblige. :-) Dan
