Ok, I doubt that I accidentally changed it, but we never know, thanks
for sorting this out.

By the way, just to be noted down, I think the problem was solved just
in the kernel you asked me to try. I have switched back to kernel 4.14,
and I just noticed that although I have 100% in my battery and laptop is
connected to electricity, the charging symbol doesn't show up.

(Strange) output of `acpitool -a -b`:
  Battery #1     : Discharging, 100.0%
  AC adapter     : online

And output of `gsettings get com.canonical.indicator.power icon-policy`:
'present'


(Just to be written down what were the differences in the output to my current 
kernel)
