I did: sudo apt-get -f install sudo apt-get remove aptoncd sudo dpkg --configure -a sudo apt-get install aptoncd sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop sudo apt-get -f install Thanks to #ubuntu-uk for telling me what to do the only package that had not installed properly was aptoncd (of course it could be different for different people)
But it worked, or was not necessary because everything appears to be working fine. ** Attachment added: "dist-upgrade.tar.gz" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10168202/dist-upgrade.tar.gz -- package update-manager 1:0.81 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: SystemError in cache.commit(): E:Sub-process /tmp/tmpjP6Bsx/backports/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1), E:Sub-process /tmp/tmpjP6Bsx/backports/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1), E:Sub-process /tmp/tmpjP6Bsx/backports/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1), E:Sub-process /tmp/tmpjP6Bsx/backports/usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/154697 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
