Public bug reported:

A bug report was sent by Ubuntu following the installer crash.  It
crashed near the end of the section that said "copying files".  I was
installing it on a Dell Inspiron N5050 alongside Windows 7.  First time
install.  I attached the partman and syslog files in one file.
