Just a quick update about firefox and thunderbird. No changes yet to this peculiar behavior. I've started using chromium as my main browser and chromium doesn't act like firefox does in regards to the heavy pixelation and juttering/flickering. So this furthers my theory that firefox and thunderbird use code that doesn't behave very well either with the wayland display server or my hardware (I'm still using my lenovo ideapad 310-15ABR).
So we'll see.
