Public bug reported: If the CDDB listing for a CD gives a long trackname, asunder
(a) Creates a WAV file with the name "nn - <track name truncated to 104 characters" (b) Fails to convert the WAV file to MP3, I suspect because it is looking for a non-truncated filename. For example, 08 - Six Sinfonias on Ovid's Metamorphoses No. 5 in A major Metamorphosis of Lycian Peasants into Frogs - IV. and 09 - Six Sinfonias on Ovid's Metamorphoses No. 6 in D major The Petrification of Phineus and His Friends - I should actually be 08 - Six Sinfonias on Ovid's Metamorphoses No. 5 in A major Metamorphosis of Lycian Peasants into Frogs - IV. Finale: Adagio - vivace ma moderato.wav and 09 - Six Sinfonias on Ovid's Metamorphoses No. 6 in D major The Petrification of Phineus and His Friends - I. Andante piĆ¹ tosto Allegretto.wav In both cases the file can be converted to MP3 individually (so the contents are OK) and can be renamed properly by hand (so it's not an OS/FS restriction on filename length). ** Affects: asunder (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1739480 Title: asunder truncates long file names and fails to convert To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/asunder/+bug/1739480/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
