I am running a P105-S6177 with bios 3.30 and gutsy, modified dsdt or not with no boot options = no sound, i added the acpi_osi=!Linux as my dmesg was stating to try that, the error went away but still no luck. if i use acpi=off i have sound but that isnt an option as this is a laptop so i need acpi. My codec is a conexant cx20549 and I have alsa drivers 1.0.15 which is the latest I think. havent had any luck, was thinking of upgrading the bios to 3.80 but from the sound of it no one has had any luck with it.
