Hi Bryce, I have, as you requested, checked out v7.10 final. I am pleased to inform you that all went well. I encountered no problems at all on the install. I did just a brief check out by launching Firefox and going to the BBC web site. All was perfect!
I might just mention a small, but what for some may be a significant thing, though not a bug as such. A message comes up on the 'Ubuntu' screen telling the user to remove the disk from the drive. I have seen other messages, I think, on this screen, on previous installs. The messages are in dark blue, against a black background, and are of a very small font size. I have some difficulty in reading this message and others, whose eyesight is deficient, may not be able to read it at all , particularly on a small screen, and they may wonder what has happened to the install. Thanks for all your good work! Regards, Brian Bryce Harrington wrote: > Hi, thanks for testing Gutsy.
