I'd say, there is a general problem with the LG GSA-H62N dvd-writer. I've not been able to write a iso-image to a CD. The ubuntu (feisty) provided wodim does not even start writing. Then i tried cdrtools-2.01.01a35, which start writing, but stop after 20 seconds, leaving you with a throw-me-away disc.
However, this problem is not ubuntu-specific. The situation is exactly the same with openSUSE 10.3. Btw, i tried to connect the dvd-writer to both sata controllers integrated on my Abit KV8-max3 Mainboard. One is integrated in the VIA- chipset, the other one is a SIL 3114. Behavior is exactly the same on both controllers. -- VIA VT6240 SATA Controller DVD/CD Write Failures https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139952 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
