How to reproduce:
Set your workspaces to 9 placed in a 3x3 grid
run a terminal
maximize the window using keyboard Alt+f10
Ctrl+alt+shift drag the window around a couple of workspaces
unmaximize the window Alt+f5
Results:
The window is gone, if you move around workspaces you might find it in
the same workspace (it was hidden and reappeared) or in some random
location in one of the 9 workspaces (sometimes placed so it would be
visible in 4 workspaces at the same time)
Might be connected with smart window placement ...
You might have to try doing it a few times until you repro it.
