@fgod1983 Download the .deb files for amd64 listed in http://kernel.ubuntu.com /~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.11.12/. Open a terminal in your download folder and run `apt install ./linux*4.11.12*.deb`. After the install is completed, reboot your laptop, and select kernel 4.11.12 in the grub selection window early in the boot stage. You might have to press the shift hey to display the kernel selection, which is hidden by default in Ubuntu (plain purple window at boot).
