Could my just posted problem be complicated by Apt-get install looking for the wrong repository? The new repository I added to the source list is:
deb http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian xenial contrib but Ubuntu is apparently still looking for: http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian/dists/xenial/InRelease [**this InRelease source is not in my "Other Software" repository list, so where is Ubuntu getting it? ** I am really lost here.] This is the same repository that Ubuntu Software center is looking for for Virtualbox 5.0. Perhaps it is because I keep getting this that apt-get install is problematic: sudo apt autoremove Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 24 not upgraded. 1 not fully installed or removed. After this operation, 0 B of additional disk space will be used. Is this related? Is this a seperate bug and should be reported elsewhere? It is certainly screwing up any attempt at using apt-get commands. I have to resolve this before I can even attempt to install the new Oracle key as far as I can see. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1685383 Title: package nfs-kernel-server 1:1.2.8-9ubuntu12.1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nfs-utils/+bug/1685383/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
