Public bug reported: After some updates in the last weeks or so, I am no longer able to run any application installed as a snap package. I have tried this for both 'keepassxc' and 'rocketchat-desktop'.
Trying to open these applications from the Unity launcher shows no output. Trying to open them from a terminal shows the single line "udev_enumerate_scan failed" and no further messages. Doing a "tail -f /var/log/syslog" shows no output at all when trying to run the snap. This is on an Ubuntu 16.04 machine, and the problem occurs with both the 4.10.0-37-generic and 4.4.0-97-generic kernels. ** Affects: snapd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1724088 Title: All snap packages fail to start with 'udev_enumerate_scan failed' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snapd/+bug/1724088/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
