Public bug reported:

I have lost my efi partition and am trying to dual boot with windows 10.
I have copied my efi partition before deleting due to lack of space and
trying to reload the bootloader. The graphical partition repair tool
would not continue unless I made room on the efi partition. I also lost
ubuntu 17.10 and tried to reinstall it so that I can copy the efi files
that I had backed up on my usb drive onto that partition that I tried to
recreate. So, in a nutshell, 1) I have backup of efi partition on usb
drive. 2) I can not boot into windows (obviously!) 3) Trying to
reinstall ubunyu 17.10 but installer would crash when trying to
reinstall grub. HELP!!!
