I have a similar problem with a Samsung widescreen LCD. I also have an Nvidia video driver - I think that is the common problem.
If I disable the restricted driver - a pain at 600x600, for sure - I have to reboot, and then it tries to set up 1680x1050. It almost works (shifted left, and wrong size), but the nv driver has some problems with non-vesa modes (I think) - so I set my resolution to 1600x1200 or 1600x1024. It's fuzzy, of course, but usable... I, too, have used the restricted manager to set up the nvidia driver under 7.04 -- Wrong resolution for HD widescreen in Gutsy with nvidia https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/150989 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
