This seems to have fixed the problem for me: sudo systemctl disable lightdm sudo systemctl stop lightdm sudo systemctl enable gdm #Seems to fail sudo systemctl start gdm sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm3 #Shows lightdm selected select gdm3, push enter
