Thanks for the answer.

The issue is happening on a fresh installation. Upgrades didn't help. It
happens also with the live CD.

The strange thing is that for a few seconds (less than 10) the touchpad
works perfectly, then it stops working.

I just tried using the mainline kernel downloaded from the link you
provided but it didn't solve the problem.
