Public bug reported: The vpnc plugin does not use the group and user passwords from keyring, even though these values exist.
It was working with Feisty, and also after upgrading to Gutsy. I do not know what triggered the change, but since several days each time I want to connect to a vpn network I have to re-enter the passwords. network-manager successfully connect to my wep wi-fi network by reading the wep key from this same keyring. In the gnome keyring manager, the only difference I can see is that the wep key is "owned" by nm-applet while the vpnc passwords are, quite logically, owned by nm-vpnc-auth-dialog. In each case, all permissions are granted (read, write, delete). ** Affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- vpnc password information is asked each time instead of using values stored in gnome keyring https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/155949 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
