Public bug reported:

This misbehavior only appears after an upgrade to Gutsy Gibbon. I
usually have several Firefox windows open, and I switch between them
pretty rapidly. I have them tiled so they are easily accessible, but now
when I click on the exposed part of the window I want to switch to, it
does not get the focus and does not come to the top. When it gets stuck
in this mode, the easiest way to get it out seems to be to click on a
different application and then I can click on a different application,
which (so far) will always accept the focus, and then Firefox will be
working normally when I click back to it--for a while.

I'm pretty suspicious that the problem involves switching between
windows belonging to the same application, but I don't usually use any
other applications that way... Not sure if it's related to some other
input freezes that I've seen, where the keyboard is apparently
completely dead (but focus is probably stuck on some place that cannot
receive keystrokes).
