Here are my findings with that kernel: - My network connections don't work anymore. Could be a side effect of something else so I'll ignore it. - Chrome and Chromium do pick up the device now. With (offline) Hangouts in Chrome, "Play test sound" doesn't play any audio. Chromium does play it through the speaker so I'm guessing it's more of a Chrome issue. - I do still get errors in `dmesg`:
