I am trying to play various videos using totem, and editing using
kdenlive. In both cases, the video (which is dominated by the yellow
colour) is displayed as purple. With mplayer and vlc the problem does
not manifest. The problem appears both under wayland and under xorg
sessions in ubuntu 17.10 whereas it didn't appear in 17.04.
