Public bug reported:

My tex distribution is located in /usr/local/texlive/2017/texmf-dist/
and is installed from the Tex User's Group (TUG) 2017 collection.

It is possible that this is confusing the software installer. Every time
I install anything I get an error message related to the installation of
tex-common. I am not sure what tex-common is but it is not provided on
the Tex Collection 2017 DVD from TUG. It has only gregoriotex-
common.tex.

My tex distribution works flawlessly.
