I have a similar problem. Yesterday I upgraded feisty->gutsy on a dell inspiron 640m by following the steps in the adept manager. And apparently it finished ok, althought some things left functioning. But today, the adept notifier asked for the upgrade again. I accepted to dowload the new version, and after the step that configures the repositories it stopped and said that it could not continue because the system already was up to date.
